All American High School Film Festival

The High School Film Team competed in the Film Invitational hosted by the All-American High School Film Festival in October. The challenge was to a create a short narrative film on the theme “The Art of…” Students had several weeks to prepare every aspect pre-production – ideation, script writing, location scouting, casting, shoot schedules and more – and then they had 56 hours to shoot and edit the entire film on the streets on New York City. Grace fielded two teams led by Will S. ‘19 and Desta Mutisya ’19 who competed against students from around the country.
 
Also at this year’s film festival, “Black Power Moments,” a film by Summer G. ’22 and Kai W. ’22, was an official selection in the national competition and was screened at AMC in Times Square.
