Varsity Golf Advances to the A.C.I.S Championship

The newest sport at Grace Church School, Varsity Golf, enjoyed an impressive inaugural season. The small but mighty team of eight earned a berth in the A.C.I.S. championship match, a significant feat in their first season. The team was led by captain and senior Jane P. who will be missed next season along with Preston W. and Ethan M., but most of the team will return and will look to continue their success.

In addition to live play at courses around the city and New Jersey, the golf team will enjoy the new simulator, which will be installed as part of the fourth floor gym expansion at Cooper Square. The Varsity Golf team is led by coach Tim Quinn who is optimistic about the future of the program. "“The biggest weakness we have is experience. As a new team we don’t have anyone that has participated in high school golf matches. I was very happy with how we handled ourselves, this season and I think it gave us confidence heading into the future.”
