Grade 3 Mock Ellis Island

Every year third graders have to face the ordeal of passing through Ellis Island. Stern parent volunteers administered “medical tests,” questioned immigrant motives and finally stamped approvals on passports. Next year, a new group of immigrants will face a new group of tough immigration officials as they enter the New World.
